This function enables a gene to be mapped to one or more of the gene found in the
NEI Lacrimal Gland database, and consequently retrieve relevant and specific information pertaining to that
gene as it relates to Eye and Vision research. The gene(s) of interest can also be mapped to the Secretory Protein Database (SPD), as such whether the gene codes for a secretory protein. For those involved in aging research, the
input genes can be mapped to the GenAge, a database of aging-specific genes. The input gene(s) can also be mapped to other major gene-specific dbs such as Entrez Gene, RGD, Pantherdb. Users may also include their favorite database, either alone or inclusive with the other dbs.
